A Heartfelt Word
Last month definitely presented it challenges for the Gift
Industry. The extreme weather in some parts of the country has played havoc
with Retailers. Manufacturers have the on-going issues with the dock situation
on the West coast, presenting problems for both!
I am particularly frustrated that we can’t deliver what we
said we could to our customers. The helpless feeling that there is nothing we
can do to get our product in the stores on the dates we said we could, because
this situation is out of our control. The dollars lost in revenue will be
substantial and will be felt by all.
My hope is that with our newest product releases we will be
able to still fulfill the needs of our customers in their year round sales, not
just the occasion driven sales. Please

The Heart of Heartfelt
Last month, was particularly hard for me as I lost three
immediate family members. One was
unexpected, one was my father, and lastly, our 95 year old grandmother. Hence,
my posting with my “Words of Wisdom” this month, in celebrating the special
moments with those you love. I truly celebrate the lives of these family
members and cherish all my special moments with each of them. As a believer, I
am comforted to know they are resting in a better place, experiencing the joys
of heaven and no longer sick and in pain.
As I am in great anticipation for Spring to arrive, I am
also committed to letting those I care about know how much I love and cherish
them and to keep a positive outlook on the matters at hand in our industry.
